Is there a GoalBet app available for Android?

  • Goalbet mobile app for Android
  • mobile bet slip of Goalbet for Android
  • Goalbet mobile login for Android

You will not find a GoalBet app on the Google Play store or at the GoalBet website as an apk download. Despite providing online betting services for over a decade, the GoalBet team has not gotten round to making any kind of Android app. Having gone so long without one, we are not anticipating the release of an official APK file anytime soon.

Is there a GoalBet App available for iOS

  • Goalbet mobile app for iOS
  • mobile application of Goalbet for iPhone
  • mobile registration in Goalbet for iOS

As there is no Android app, it should come as little surprise that there is no kind of Goalbet app for iOS either. There is no indication that one is currently being developed, so for the foreseeable future, Apple users, like their Android counterparts, will need to access the site via their mobile browser. It’s not all bad news though as the GoalBet mobile site is compatible with Apple’s default browser, Safari.

Review of Mobile Site Version

Goalbet mobile version for tablet

By using various shades of grey across the site, the GoalBet mobile website does not score too many points for its visual appeal. Although it looks a little dated too, functionally speaking it does a fairly decent job. Sometimes menus on the sportsbook are ordered in a less than logical fashion but once you have found your desired selection, placing your bets is a smooth process.

Loading times, on the whole, are quick, with GoalBet avoiding the sorts of things that sometimes slow a site down, such as animations or large, memory heavy images. To make navigating around the different areas of the site even quicker, click the GoalBet logo at the top of the screen. It will reveal all the main menu options except for the promotions tab. Although most promotions listed as small images on the sportsbook, it does not appear possible to access the full list on mobile.

Sports Betting on Mobile

Times and dates of upcoming fixtures within a chosen competition or league are always visible, as is the total number of betting options. Clicking on a fixture reveals all available markets with each one individually expandable. Mobile users have access to the full range of options and selections can be added to the bet slip just by clicking on the odds. Customers can add multiple selections from other fixtures should they wish to place combination or system bets.

Mobile users can also access the outright or ‘long term’ bets from the main sports menu. These come as one long list, so it can take a little while to find the one you want, but it is nevertheless a real positive to have this option. Having the ability to favourite selected matches is also a welcome addition, but it is only available for live betting fixtures.

Mobile Site Features

With the GoalBet mobile site, users get access to most of the features they enjoy on desktop devices, but not all, as we explain below.

Live streaming

GoalBet does live stream a fairly small number of events throughout the day, often by embedding a publically available Youtube link. Their mobile site does not support this feature, however, so you will never find a live stream when on mobile. In-play fixtures will still feature the TV icon indicating a stream is available, but this is only relevant for desktop users, which can be a little frustrating if you don’t realise that is the case.

There is a way of getting around this issue, though. When on a fixture that comes with a stream, you can click ‘show desktop site’ in your mobile browser settings. Providing you logged in, the video feed will appear, and you can make it fullscreen. There is a downside though, in that it makes the rest of the site very difficult to use and this includes placing bets.

In-play function

The quantity of in-play fixtures covered at Goalbet is arguably one of their best assets. All year round users can bet on a wide range of events taking place from around the globe. Even compared with the biggest sites in the business, Goalbet fares well when it comes to how many games it covers live.

The good news is that mobile users have access to every fixture Goalbet offer. When clicking ‘in-play’ on the main menu, the number of active games within each sport is displayed. Plenty of live matches come with an animated match tracker and some informative match statistics which can help shape your betting decisions if you are not able to watch the contest itself.

Cash Out option

Anyone familiar with the cashout concept knows just how suddenly the offered price for selling your bet can change. Therefore, it is handy that Goalbet has placed a ‘cash out’ link at the very top of the mobile site. Tapping this button will reveal all your bets which are available to be cashed out as well as the offered price. The value of them may go up or down so timing can be crucial when thinking about locking in a new profit, but at least it is speedy and easy to access with GoalBet.

GoalBet casino mobile

On the main menu, click the ‘Games’ tab to reveal the option for the GoalBet mobile casino. NetEnt slots will load by default, but the scrollable menu at the top reveals all GoalBet’s suppliers such as 1×2 Gaming, BetSoft, Playson and Endorphina. Much like on the desktop site, there is no shortage of options to choose from, and it is simply a case of finding out which brands you like best.

Unfortunately, ordering by the software developer is something the Goalbet mobile site insists on, so it is not possible to view all table games, for instance. You can largely prevent this being an issue though, by using the helpful search tool in the top right of the screen. By searching for ‘blackjack’ or ‘roulette’, all relevant matches will appear from all sources.

Whenever you have found a game, you particularly like, be sure to add it to your list of favourites by clicking the star icon. All selections are saved and will be waiting for you during your next mobile gaming session.

Live Casino

mobile live casino of Goalbet

Four different suppliers power the GoalBet Live Casino in total, impressive stuff. Market-leading Evolution Gaming feature, as do smaller companies Ezugi, Vivo Gaming and Lucky Streak. Fortunately for all you mobile players out there, each of these developers have ensured their range of high quality live casino games are fully mobile compatible.

Try not to get overly excited though because you may find you have issues getting your desired table to load. When we first looked to give the live casino games a spin, absolutely none would boot up despite using several browsers. Trying again, later on, most tables did work this time but not all of them. While there is a good chance this was just a temporary issue at GoalBet’s end, we have very rarely experienced a similar problem at another casino site.

Pros & Cons of the GoalBet mobile website version

Although there are some flaws with the Goalbet’s mobile website, it does have some strong points too.

Pros:
  • Uses very little mobile data
  • Quick loading times
  • Full range of sporting events and markets are available
  • The cash-out feature is quick and easy to use
  • Virtual sports supported in full
Cons:
  • May experience issues on the live casino
  • Live streaming not supported
  • Poorly laid out casino features just one game per line
  • BetGames.TV streams do not load on all browsers

Is There a Mobile Bonus?

GoalBet does not encourage users to try out the mobile version of the site using a mobile-specific bonus. That said, although there is no promotion specific to mobile users, players using their smartphones and tablets enjoy the full range of GoalBet deals and offers. It includes things such as the matched first deposit bonus, 100% bet refunds and exclusive daily offers.

System Requirements and Compatibility

The GoalBet mobile site works across browsers, but it performs better on some than others. Apple users are best off using Safari, while Android users will enjoy the best level of performance by using Chrome. In terms of an operating system, there is absolutely no minimum requirement, and even old smartphones should have few issues handling the GoalBet site.

There is plenty to like about GoalBet from their extensive sportsbook to their impressive range of “normal” casino and live casino games. That said, when it comes to mobile gaming, they have struggled to impress. A lack of an app is not a problem in itself, but the mobile version of the site is unable to deliver in several areas.

Whether it is problems loading live casino games, no embedded live streams or the less than intelligent casino design, using Goalbet on the move is not always a great experience. It is certainly not something without any redeeming qualities, as we have talked about in this review, but it is unlikely to satisfy people who bet frequently using their smartphone. For more casual users, however, particularly those more focused on sports betting, you will find the GoalBet mobile experience to be just fine.
